Spotify
Wearable devices were in search of their first killer app on the wrist and music took center stage with the introduction of Spotify in Samsung's premium wearable line-up.
This new experience introduced sleek wearable apps that brought the Spotify experience to smartwatches and fitness bands. Beyond seamlessly playing, pausing, and skipping tracks or podcast episodes, you could also control playback for wireless speakers, TVs, and gaming consoles using Spotify directly from your wrist.
Beyond music control, Spotify subscribers were also able to download their favorite albums, playlists, and podcasts to listen offline directly on their watch or fitness band without the need of a smartphone.
Our impact
We worked directly with Spotify and Samsung to bring the product and technology to life, shaping and delivering the end-to-end definition, design, and experience. We drove the app ecosystem incubation from ideation, design, through final production, and helped launch Spotify's first entry into the premium wearable line-up at Samsung.
